After the inspiring journey of Tommaso Zoboli and his restaurant “Patrizia” in the first edition, Lavazza is ready to tell another captivating story—one filled with passion, ambition, and the courage to take on new challenges.
This time, three young Italian entrepreneurs—Oliviero, Jacopo, and Riccardo—are uniting their strengths, dreams, and relentless drive to open their very first restaurant, Mina, in the vibrant city of Barcelona. Through this project, we invite you to step into their world, to feel their excitement, their struggles, and their triumphs as they intertwine their love for food with the rich culture of this Spanish metropolis.
These are the key ingredients of the second edition of "La Prima Volta," a docuseries crafted with care and passion by Lavazza. This storytelling journey follows the three young men as they navigate the challenges of launching their restaurant, supported by seasoned mentors who share their wisdom, knowledge, and personal experiences to help shape the path ahead.
Mina is more than just a restaurant—it’s a vision brought to life by three friends who dare to dream big. Each of them brings something unique to the table:
Oliviero, a passionate drummer and culinary artist, infuses rhythm and energy into the kitchen.
Jacopo, meticulous and deeply committed to sharing, creates harmony and precision in every detail.
Riccardo, a natural-born sommelier, pursues excellence in every sip, ensuring that every guest experiences a sensory journey filled with emotion.
As they embark on this life-changing adventure, Lavazza gives them the opportunity to meet industry experts who will open doors to new perspectives, encourage innovation, and spark inspiration.
Lavazza stands alongside Oliviero, Jacopo, and Riccardo, not just as a supporter but as a true partner in their journey. Through mentorship, hands-on training, and expert guidance, Lavazza nurtures their passion and transforms their aspirations into reality.
The three young entrepreneurs find inspiration in a heartfelt conversation with Tommaso Zoboli, who shares the highs and lows of his own journey from season one. They also meet Federico Zanasi, Chef of Condividere at Nuvola Lavazza, who helps them explore the art of integrating coffee into Mina’s culinary experience—adding depth, warmth, and an extra touch of magic to their dishes.
And then, a truly transformative moment: a deep and thought-provoking discussion with Albert Adrià, the visionary Catalan chef and Lavazza Ambassador, renowned for redefining the gastronomic world. With his insights, the trio gains a deeper understanding of innovation and the profound meaning of the restaurant industry.
Their journey then takes them to San Sebastián, a city rich in culinary tradition, where Oliviero meets esteemed figures at the Basque Culinary Center, a global hub for gastronomy education and research. Here, they engage with Idoia Calleja, the director of courses and master’s programs, and Martina Puigvert Puigdevall, a former student turned multi-starred chef at Les Cols. The exchange is not just enlightening—it’s life-changing, fueling their determination to embrace their future as restaurateurs with confidence and clarity.
This is more than just a story about opening a restaurant—it’s about chasing dreams, facing fears, and stepping boldly into the unknown. It’s about three young men who, with every dish they create, every lesson they learn, and every challenge they overcome, bring their vision to life.
